Amity at Kempsey is a comfortable, warm aged care facility that has a strong resident lifestyle focus endeavouring to enrich all aspects of the residents daily lives. The facility has a strong community emphasis and a deserving reputation for managing residents with dementia associated behaviours in a dignified manner.

As part of their active resident lifestyle program, the staff and residents care for pets including Bailey, a Maltese Shitzu cross and 2 Pekinese chickens called Ginger and Molly. Gardening is also a particularly strong group activity with family members and staff also participating. Many volunteer their time to maintain the gardens and there is a great turn out of relatives every week.

The facility has recently transformed the entire garden and the residents gardening group are now producing fresh fruit and vegetables that they have been enjoying.
