Amity at Ashfield has a lovely landscaped garden with established deciduous trees. Residents and their families enjoy the wonderful outdoor entertaining area taking advantage of the tranquil setting to participate in plenty of barbecues while al fresco dining is a favourite amongst the residents during the warmer months. 

Amity at Ashfield has a vibrant Italian focus within the home and has recently formed an agreement with the local Italian community to provide residents from Italian backgrounds with more traditional activities and cuisine. Along with all the usual festivities celebrated, Amity at Ashfield also commemorates occasions that are special to the Italian culture. Many of the residents and staff from non-Italian backgrounds are also embracing these wonderful aspects of Italian culture and many of the staff have undertaken language classes. 

The home operates an active lifestyle program where residents enjoy a number of activities and are encouraged to care for the home's pets which include birds, fish and two friendly dogs called Bella and Toby.
